Dearest Tushkateers!  My head is spinning.   Today is the 15th of October!  Halloween, Day of the Dead, and the rest of the fully loaded holidays are right around the corner!  Hard to believe, but there it is.  The calendar doesn’t lie!  So, I’m thinking that it’s time to start tossing holiday tips your weigh!

Today–as in right now–I share with you an extremely simple yet powerful tip that can make all the difference when it comes to holiday eating!  Are you ready?!  Here it is!!!

Let’s imagine that you have just enjoyed a healthy meal and you are no longer hungry.  In fact, you are sated. Yet, mysteriously, an amazing looking, smelling and tasting apple pie (or a pie of your liking) makes its way to the table and you want some; a slice, two slices, the entire pie; you want some!  And, there’s no talking yourself out of it, no turning back, as your fork is already piercing into this delicious, oozing with sugary juice pie.

That’s when “The 4 Bite Rule” comes in handy!  The first bite is always the best, truly, yes?  The second bite is yummy but not to the full extent of the first bite and so it goes, until you get to the fourth bite.   Declare your fourth bite your last bite.  You’ve tasted the best of the pie.  It is time to put the fork down and move away from the table.

And, don’t try any fancy loop holes, like taking gigantic bites or losing track or whatever trick you have up your sleeve.  Four small bites!  Four medium bites…call it a day.

Now, imagine that you begin to utilize the 4 Bite Rule right now, and you continue practicing The 4 Bite Rule all the way through the holidays and beyond.  How happy are you with you?  What a fabulous tool!!!
