One of the things both Our Lady of Weight Loss and I love to say about permanent weight loss a.k.a. weight removal a.k.a. slimming down (use whichever phrase fits you best) is that it is simple. That’s right. Weight loss is simple.

Simple. Simple. Simple.
But simple isn’t necessarily easy. Is it?

Here 9 quotes that back up my theory about simple vs. easy;
9 quotes that can help you adjust or maybe even change your thinking.

9 Simple But Not Easy Quotes to Chew On This Holiday Season

“This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.” ~ Dalai Lama XIV

“Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.” ~ Steve Jobs

“It’s all very simple. But maybe because it’s so simple, it’s also hard.” ~ Natsuki Takaya

“Simplicity is ultimately a matter of focus.” ~ Ann Voskamp

“The most complicated skill is to be simple.” ~ Dejan Stojanovic

“Simplicity is a great virtue but it requires hard work to achieve it and education to appreciate it. And to make matters worse: complexity sells better.” ~ Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

“The essence of life is not in the great victories and grand failures, but in the simple joys.” ~ Jonathan Lockwood Huie

“I woke to the sound of rain.” ~ Sylvia Plath

“When it’s all said and done, the only thing that matter in life are so damn simple. Family, friends. being safe and well. I think before the war a lot of people got sucked in by the crap on TV. They thought having the right shoes or the right jeans or the right car really mattered. Boy were we ever dumb.” ~ John Marsden
